Queensland casting for the Miss Grand Australia national finals
Sunday the 10th of March saw the Queensland casting for the Miss Grand Australia national finals which took place at the Mantra on the Gold Coast. It was a typical Gold Coast day with the sun shining and perfect for such a day.
With girls coming from Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast, the panel was looking for a unique group of contestants to represent the sunshine state at the National Finals hosted in Sydney this May.
All who attended came with their A game to show the judging panel that they are worthy of making the national finals.
With the judging panel made up of the former winner and director Miss Dani Fitch along with Mary Hecker who brings a wealth of knowledge to Miss Grand and Silka Kurzak, the winner of Miss Supranational Australia in 2016 along with editor in chief of iModel Fashion Magazine Mr. Anthony Rice.
At the end of the day, judges came up with an entirely different set of numbers no judge was close or same witch indeed showed that each judge was looking for something different within the attending girls.
Miss Grand Australia proudly supports the ‘Stop the War and Violence’ campaign where they undertake social impact activities as an organization to help eliminate violence. This year Miss Grand Australia will be working with Destiny Rescue to assist with rescue missions of children of human trafficking.
With the wild card winners still yet to be announced all girls are eagerly awaiting the call sheet to see who has the top spots in what should be the biggest year of competition again.
