My love for the fashion world has been a constant in my life, from my days managing a roller skating rink, where I would dress to impress, to my time spent on the ballroom dance floor, where I was always drawn to the elegance and grace of the dancers’ attire.

From there, I went on to help my mate with photo shoots. I would typically build sets and be the second person involved with the shoot, assisting with everything from changing the set to holding reflectors.

Then we stumbled upon Fashion TV, and it was a revelation.

A whole new world had opened up before us, and we were captivated.

We started hosting FTV party nights, immersing ourselves in everything from interviews to the art of model walking.

It was a time when the internet was still in its infancy, and social media was a distant dream from what it is today. The fashion world was a different place back then.

Then, as I usually did, I carried my camera everywhere. Around 2011, one of my friends hosted a Miss Universe heat, and I dropped in to watch him host. He asked me if I had my camera on me, and of course, I said yes.

After this event, I started attending many Beauty Pageants, from Miss Universe Australia to Miss World Australia, and interviewed and photographed Beauty Queens.

I was asked to judge a few beauty competitions as opportunities arose. One big one at the time was Miss Multiverse Australia, which was making its way onto Amazon TV.

This also came with photographing Miss V8 and other model-type nightclub events.

The lure of a runway event was my calling.

Since then, I have travelled overseas to international fashion shows and Australian fashion events to shoot the runway. The energy, anticipation, and rush of capturing the perfect shot as the models strut down the runway is an exhilarating experience that never fails to ignite my passion for fashion.

I was thinking about what to do with all my photos as social media was still in the early days.

With many photos and the state of social media, the idea of starting my magazine was born.

And so began my journey in the publishing world, a realm that has been a constant source of inspiration and creativity in my life.

I started iMOdel Fashion Magazine in 2012. Now, in my sixth edition in print, I have met many emerging designers and models and have ventured to many exciting places.

And now, seeing the changing ways of fashion, from fast fashion to sustainable trends, the world is ever-changing in fashion.

I was introduced to racing fashion Fashions on the Fields by chance, which immediately caught my attention.

With this journey, I have travelled interstate and throughout Queensland to country racetracks, each trip filled with the excitement of photographing and interviewing contestants.

So much so, I put together a Racing in Style Magazine focusing on all things fotf.

Now, I frequently attend the likes of Magic Millions on the Gold Coast Stradbroke Day in Brisbane and many country fotf events.

With iModel now receiving greater attention, each new edition has more eyes looking, and sales have grown.

A local-based fashion magazine circling Brisbane and Queensland fashion from designers to models.

Slowly, it is turning into a hub where fashion enthusiasts come together.
